Opium Weight To-Naya 20 tical Beast, EOW56

 

From Rangoon, Burma, this flamboyant style of beast weight or to-naya features an attractively curved mane and handle as well as a mouth appendage. A rather unusual feature of this beast weight is the dotted lines on the square base with extremities intact. The weight has an attractive patina with a minor presence of green oxidization.
