Vintage Hmong Silk Embroidery Framed LSA20
From Sapa in the mountains of northern Vietnam, this vintage textile was embroidered with silk over a cotton backing and was once traditionally worn as the collar of a jacket by the Hmong people. The Hmong are famed for the embroidery skills of the women and the silversmith skills of the men. The motif featured is typical of Hmong designs and symbolizes good luck and prosperity. It has been framed with card and glass to be hung as wall art.
