Sam Neua, in the remote northern province of Houaphan, is the original home of silk weaving in Laos. Sam Neua weavers are renowned for their mastery and creativity, taking silk weaving to a level where it is considered an art form. Created on a traditional wooden loom, this piece took over two months to complete. The entire piece is adorned with an incredibly rich and detailed series of motifs in complementary colours, demonstrating the impressive talents of the very experienced weaver. This is a one of a kind piece.
